Feb 06, 2007· I need advice for end mills in steel, usually 1018 round and a36 plate, and some 4140 annealed round. I will mostly do keys and slots from 1/2 to 1 1/2. Roughing? Finishing? 2 or 4. Since I will be plunging in what type of depth of cut would you recomend? thanks for the input in advance. rodney
